AcelRx names Adrian Adams as chairman of board of directors

Prior to joining the company, Adams served at Auxilium Pharmaceuticals as chief executive officer and president and at Neurologix as chairman and chief executive officer.

Adams also worked as president and chief executive officer of Inspire Pharmaceuticals, Sepracor and Kos Pharmaceuticals.

AcelRx Pharmaceuticals president and chief executive officer Richard King said, "As our lead development program, the Sufentanil NanoTab PCA System, transitions from development toward market, Adrian’s leadership, commercial and corporate perspectives will be invaluable."

AcelRx board of directors chairman Adrian Adams said the company has brought its pipeline to an important stage, and Phase 3 NanoTab System data released to date show great promise for NDA submission.
